What is a Gate Barrier System?
Gate barriers control the vehicle access at entry and exit gates. Automatic gate barriers are effective devices that supervise the entrance of visitors to the premises. This means only authorized visitors and vehicles are allowed to enter your premises.
It consists of a fixed metal block that carries the barrier arm capable of blocking unidentified vehicles. This operates electronically without any noise giving users a comfortable experience.
The gate barrier, also known as boom gate, is a fixed metal bar or pole pivoted to allow the boom to block vehicles at a control point. Typically, the tip of a boom gate or gate barrier rises in a vertical arc to a near-vertical position. The gate barrier is often counterweighted, so the pole is easily tipped. Gate barriers are often paired either end to end or offset appropriately to block traffic in both directions. Some gate barriers feature a pivot roughly halfway and function as access control for vehicles in both directions.
